Company Profile
Union
Square Music is one of the UK’s leading reissue and
compilations specialists. Formed in October 1999 by Peter
Stack, former MD of MCI, Union Square Music’s aim is
to release good value high quality CD and DVD releases right
across the musical and entertainment spectrum. The company’s
first CD releases came out in March 2000 with DVD following
on in March 2003. An aggressive release policy has seen the
company’s catalogue grow to over 300 titles and a flourishing
sub-licensing division now controls over 7,000 tracks from
rock to classical, jazz to punk. Based in West London, Union
Square Music has quickly established itself as a major force
and is set to rapidly expand its activities over the coming
years.
All
Union Square single and multi-artist CD titles are released
on various label imprints including Metro, Essentials, Sessions

operates at a specific price point. Highlights include ‘Nina
Simone: The Essential Album’ (Metro), the groundbreaking
‘Beyond Nashville’ project (Manteca), ‘80s
Groove Sessions’ (Sessions) and ‘Brazil: The Essential
Album’ (Essentials). Around 80 new CD compilations are
released each year.

concert performances from major artists, films, documentaries
and specially commissioned productions. Highlights include
the classic ‘Slade In Flame’ film, ‘Gospel
According To Al Green’, ‘Karaoke Party Time’
